Residents' comments sent to me:

This was written April, 27 2013:

Dear Mrs. Levi:

I concur entirely with your letter in the April 26 edition of the Inquirer. Please add my name to the list of those insisting on changes in the building code.  The “coefficient” that currently allows ridiculously large houses to be built on relatively small lots must be lowered substantially, and the permissive attitude taken by the Village Administration toward the builders, which includes allowing the leveling of all trees on a property at the whim of the builder, must change. Otherwise, as you pointed out, Scarsdale will continue to be transformed from the “village in the woods” to the “subdivision in the desert.”

Sincerely,

Thomas Niles
