When will Green replace Greed ?

I have not been following Scarsdale news for a while, but this from the site was a reminder: .

Unfortunately, the practice of tearing down old homes, replacing them with big houses laced with greed all over is continuing. We are losing our character, our trees and everything else in between.

The old Village Manager has left, the Inquirer has a new editor, a trustee has sold her house and moved to NYC, but still this problem has not been addressed.

When will someone tear down a home and dedicate it to open space for Rufus and family ( the rabbits that roam around here... ) ? In my life-time ?.... I do not have 40 more years left
