CHP Decision for Tuesday February 20th, Meeting

As though, one was wondering... They are so thrilled to announce their decision, that they have to shorten it: DEMO - short for demolition...

BAR Agenda for February 26, 2018 Meeting

Here we go, typical February, things are heating up. A full agenda with 22 items.

Another Clandestine Meeting in Scarsdale...

Even though the CHP Meeting was announced earlier to take place on February 20th, it is somehow omitted from the Village Calendar, whereas other meetings and deadlines are carefully listed:

This was taken this afternoon at 6:52 p.m. from the Village calendar at Scarsdale.com.
This is not the first time the meetings of the Committee for Historic Preservation, ( doing no doubt their preservation work...) has been omitted from the Village Calendar.

To be discussed with our Village Staff.

For anyone interested the CHP is meeting tonight, February 20th at 8:00 p.m. at Village Hall to "discuss" 2 Continental Road. The agenda was posted earlier on  this site.

First revision March 21, 2018 8:42 a.m. EDT.

"Elections" 2018 in Scarsdale

There will be "Elections" this year on March 20th.

As I mentioned in previous entries before, the Scarsdale government system has stopped working for its residents a long time ago... It has the appearance of working for us, but it only does so for its "volunteer" residents who just help themselves while shuffling paper and appearing busy...

Of course there are exceptions to this.. There has been the genuine few who served or even is serving here just to serve and not to pad up their attorney's C.V. Very few authentics among the vampires...

Most are, were attorneys or aspiring public servants hoping to get another public service job and using this as a stepping stone...Not doing much for Scarsdale and even damaging Scarsdale with their inactions, their delay tactics...

One year has passed. One more with the CNC slate. Sub-divisions have continued, the ZBA has approved more variances, the green Scarsdale is becoming the cement Scarsdale of asphalt and mega-mansions... Our taxes are sky-high, our water non-potable, our roads full of pot holes.

Our resident volunteers serving themselves and not the residents.

Another election coming up, with another delay and conquer slate from the CNC.

Luckily Bob Berg is running again. He even won the latest confrontation with our totalitarian regime. No, they said we could not put lawn signs promoting political views on our lawns. The Village Police started removing the signs. Bob Berg argued in front of the court and won... Per the Scarsdale Inquirer of February 9th. Congratulations !!!

This oppressive, totalitarian regime that we have been subjected to for so long has to go...Russia crumbled to resurrect in Scarsdale. Scam-dale and Scan (dal)-dale...Not acceptable and utterly deplorable... The real estate industry has grabbed the key positions in town, posing as volunteers and  are grabbing every opportunity to make a buck or a million bucks in this case. Of course, who can fault volunteers or for that matter who can fire volunteers ?

Great scheme... Only attorneys with a lot of time in their hands could come up with...

Time is up ! Masks down !

Another secret society in Scarsdale...

This is the Scarsdale Historical Society's website:

A 501(c) 3 that does not have a membership tab like the Larchmont Historical Society

http://larchmonthistory.org for example... Why not ?... Deliberate or just an oversight ?...

One wonders what they are up to...and why the Contact Tab does not have a name or an e-mail listed... Why hide if you have nothing to hide ?...

But a little investigation showed that it is tagged to a certain lady who writes the online newspaper for Scarsdale. One wonders what is going on...Did not really cover all her tracks...

From a recent trip to Europe:

From New York:

This in transit at Dublin airport cafeteria:

This, below from The Irish Times February 9, 2018:

Guess the gender of the author, calling this phenomenon a "biological mistake".

I beg to differ and choose to call him a "biological mistake "...

The date and the paper, below:

Planning Board February 21, 2018 Agenda, More Cut-ups...

Destruction and abuse: Constructing on wetlands, a nine lot subdivision on Garden Road and another three lot subdivision on Post Road. Divide and conquer...

Thought there were no more lots to be subdivided per our professional town official...

Last I saw our  resident volunteer, Mayor Dan Hochvert he was going to change the fee for these subdivisions. Nothing still. They are too busy with the tree code...while all the trees are getting cut.

So much for the Non-Partisan System. Totally corrupt !

"Elections" coming up.

Don't be fooled, you do not elect anyone. Another way to cover up self-righteous ways...

Our Water still no good...

We received our quarterly water bill, with it one more notice of inadequate purification and danger of all kinds of organisms lurking in our water: Cryptosporidium, giardia and other " disease causing organisms"...

First notice was received in June of 2016 as a search on the Village site revealed...

Hard to believe this is happening in the US, and not a third world country.

All the County did so far to remedy the situation was to give rain barrels...

Valentine Day's Treat from the ZBA

This is the February 14th agenda for the ZBA:

Of the seven items below, 4 is a swimming pool, which is just a formality. Anyone wanting to construct a swimming pool has to apply to the ZBA. They are all permitted as far as I know.

The other three are for: porch, spa (?..) , porch and deck which go above and beyond our very generous building code allowances...

My treat to you, even though it is not yet Valentine's Day. This pedestrian crossing sign from Auckland, New Zealand a couple of weeks ago.

I love the little green person walking... Don't you ?

Winter Farmers' Market

We have a winter Farmers' Market, till April 26th, as seen below.

I ran into our Assistant Village Manager Ingrid Richards in the Village this afternoon. She kindly reminded me of the Market. When I returned after making sure, my parking meter was well fed, she was shopping there as well.

A nice array of Farmers in a nice, warm space indoors. What more would you want on a cold, blistery February afternoon ?

The Cupola at Heathcote Tavern

Here we are finally:

I was away for a while in January, so I do not know when this went up, but I noticed it the other day.

It looks beautiful, even more beautiful than the original one, I think. The copper roof is certainly a nice addition, that was not there before. So now, we have a better, more elegant cupola.

Congratulations !!!

The original cupola came down during super storm Sandy. We were told the cupola would go up... It just took more than 5 years... Sandy hit us: October 2012.

Let us hope this one will hold for the next 100 years...
